Good for sharpening razor blades for beginners

Bought a sharpening stone for razor blades. Although I'm a beginner, I fixed an Ebay razor with a small chip and used this stone to straighten the bevel. Then I finished with Norton 4K/8K and the result is a great shaver.

Pros
  • Tools and Housewares
Cons
  • Big and bulky

Non Combo Stone

Works as expected. Note that with this stone, almost all lower grit stones will also be used up faster than higher grit ones. Combination stones are also from Norton. I am very happy with his work.

Pros
  • Power Tools and Hand Tools
Cons
  • Quick Guide

So far so good - Hand Tools

First of all I am a total newbie to knife/tool sharpening but have had some success with this article. I have used it (in combination with a 220 grit stone and a 4000/8000 grit combination stone, both Norton) on my SOG Escape EDC knife which is made of 9cr18mov steel and has easily cut hair off my arms/ Shaving legs (face knife) can make hair a bit more difficult). I feel like this stone is definitely better than what I have at the moment, would definitely recommend to anyone looking to try…
