Good manufacturer of snow cones.

My first review was canceled due to a link to my YouTube video review. However, it is easy to find. I would say yes, buy it again. It makes excellent snow cones, and for adults, alcoholic porridge is just great! My claim is a scoop. It's more for ice cream than the typical rounded mound you think of when the words "Snow Cone" decorate your ear canals. Well, mine at least.

Pros
  • Great overall performance

  • Big and bulky

Fantastic snow machine for the price!

Bought this for my daughter's birthday so we tried it before just to see how it worked and how fast it worked. Overall I think it's great and it's definitely worth getting for just $40. Attached is a video and as you can see there is some noise but it cuts through the ice it won't quite be lol. I made 8 snow cones pretty quickly and the kids loved them! It does NOT come with syrup but I just got mine from Sam and even some from the Bahama Bucks. It was well worth the money especially with the…

The on/off mechanism didn't work

I had to return it because the on/off mechanism didn't work. I had to plug and unplug to make ice cream. The machine has no buttons, you just need to turn (lock or unlock) the lid of the ice cream maker on top to turn it on or off). You would think that with such a small mechanic you would get ONE thing to work. But its nice. Small. If you're an adult, you know your hand size when you need to reach into the box to scoop out the ice cream. But this is no problem. In addition, the ice is very…

Charming and efficient little car

So charming and made a splash at my daughter's 14th birthday party. We served 18 teenagers in minutes. This thing works FAST! I love that you just throw ice cubes at it from the freezer and it does the rest. I was really hoping for a thinner shaving ice like we have in Hawaii though, but I suppose I'd have to dig into our Hawaii vacation savings to be able to afford a machine with such professional results! The only thing I wanted was for the scoop to fit the cones better. It's quite large and…

'Cause I'm mentally 5

So, the Easter Bunny has gone a little crazy this year, forcing the grandchildren to do chores in quarantine. It helps that her G-Ma is living through her third childhood here! Some things to watch out for: Yes, it's a bit noisy. No, it doesn't come with syrup and just two croissants. machine from the residual water after. Because one scenario is that a piece of ice falls into the turkey juice that you just poured into the sink. (Then you'll have to clean it up quickly before someone notices…

Pretty, functional and cheap

I bought this because popsicles and ice cream are a real comfort after oral surgery. I thought it might be fun and better than constantly paying for popsicles. Would be great for a kids party. Or even an adult party and maybe some alcohol. LAUGH OUT LOUD. I think it's a good buy without spending a lot of money. While it may seem a little flimsy and cheap, it does its job well and I think it's super cute. It comes with two reusable hard plastic cone-shaped "mugs" with round flat bottoms so they…

You must use it correctly!

Okay, first I did some research. I wanted an ice maker with SHAVED ICE, not an ice maker with crushed ice. If you need a crushed ice machine, look elsewhere. This machine makes ICE STRIPS. DO NOT buy it and litter the review section with negative reviews just because the ice stretches, not breaks. (Yes, that's a common trend among all snow cone makers here. People never get what they want.) Now that I've said it, there are two things to note: First, it's noisy. How very very loud. Second, you…

Noisy and inefficient

A delightful miniature device with a nostalgic carnival feel. The scoop and plastic cones are well made and don't feel flimsy. Other than that, it was a wreck. Even before switching on, there is a warning on the motor that you must not run it for more than 5 minutes at a time. We put ice on top and let it thaw a bit so it doesn't get as hard as the directions suggest. The device can hold about 3/4 cup of ice at a time. A rotor on top spins a spiraling plastic hopper, and gravity is the only…
