Prayer answered! I was tiling the high traffic area from my front door to the kitchen and a few tiles at the bottom of the stairs kept peeling off from going up and down the stairs all day. I am ordering this in hopes of reducing the impact on this area and it has been of great help. It will not fade, shrink or deteriorate. I suppose it's the same as in front of a sink, stove or island. The color of this rug matches my kitchen cabinets perfectly! First I tried one, then I bought a second one. I have ceramic tiles on my kitchen floor. Then I learned that this is the worst floor for a sore back. Counting! 2 of these rugs reside entirely in my kitchen, so I always have a soft spot no matter what I have to do in the kitchen! This is AWESOME. I've had it for about 6-7 months and I couldn't be happier. I looked at these types of rugs in all price ranges and although this one was a little more expensive it looked a million times better than the ones you can buy at Target, BB&B, Costco etc. It's MUCH EASIER to clean than other textured types and it looks really nice (not tacky) on my kitchen floor.
