Have been using it for about 3 years. Works on my 300g pond with 11 koi of around 12-18 inches. A gallon lasts almost 1 year and depends on how you do the maintenance.

great stuff! Hey Big V, I think the product you are thinking of is AmQuel Plus. NovAqua does not claim to reduce nitrate. I bet if you test for chlorine or heavy metals you will find that NovAqua works great.

I used NovAqua in my aquarium many years ago, now I use it in my carp pond. Whenever I do a partial water change or add more fish, I add the recommended amount. This helps the fish acclimate and reduces stress and shock. The fish react immediately. (Also use Kordon AmQuel for ponds.)

I don't think this thing works at all. First, it smells like rotten eggs. changes weekly with it and I still get the same results testing the water with or without it. I test my water weekly throughout the year. I have 300 gallons. I chose this because it claims to do fewer water changes. For the past 2 months I've even tried doubling the dosage with every water change and let me tell you the nitrate levels don't change says it works for nitrates.
