I like this cloak which can be turned on its side so the shorter part where it attaches with velcro is not in the front but on one shoulder. It still fully covers that shoulder. I love using this cape when I do my makeup, color my hair or even brush my hair. I use it at least once every day!

When we cut and color hair at home, we bought one of these to help. I agree with some other reviewers that the velcro is not very well placed and uncomfortable on the neck. It covers like a shawl and the size on the picture is accurate. Everything else is simple and works.

This product is advertised as waterproof as of March 26, 2020, but after noticing a few drops of water on my shirt under my raincoat, I ran the test cautiously Spraying water on the outer surface of the cloak (actually tried on both sides) and watching in frustration as the water dripped right through the material. It was therefore useless for my purposes.

I love this cape. I'm straight and I have to spray a lot of water all the time and use all sorts of conditioners and holiday gels and it does a great job of protecting my clothes. The only thing that confuses me is the velcro - it's hard and prickly and irritates the throat. I have to cover the clasp with a washcloth to protect my neck. otherwise I like it very much.

Until I received this cape I always tied a towel around my neck when I needed to trim my beard hair. There is nothing worse than cutting hair all over your t-shirt or around your neck, causing itching and discomfort. This cape is durable enough to be worn with minimal maintenance, lightweight, large enough to cover your neck, shoulders and forearms, attaches easily with velcro and is easy to shake off once trimmed. This is an inexpensive and effective solution.
