Our front door has a cable run with a nice wooden railing next to it, so we don't have a convenient place to mount the doorstop or bumper and we don't want to tinker with the wall with a traditional hinge stop. I had low expectations for this product as it has very little leverage to reduce the hassle of the hinge but it definitely works. Bought in June 2017 but only attempted to install about a week ago. Although I was skeptical, I figured the door to be used might work since it's a 24x80 hollow core. I really wanted this thing to work but it failed badly, not only did it allow the door to open beyond the confines of the intended setting, the pin itself was inserted/removed from the loop. I bought five of these thinking I would be safe with three on a solid wood door and two on a hollow door. I chose these because they had adjustable cams and that would give me some flexibility for doors that I had to set at 90 degrees so the door handles wouldn't hit the drywall.
