I got lucky. I CANNOT post the first honest and unbiased review in exchange for a discount or free item. I bought five of these thinking I would be safe with three on a solid wood door and two on a hollow door. I chose these because they had adjustable cams and that would give me some flexibility for doors that I had to set at 90 degrees so the door handles wouldn't hit the drywall. After installing the first three, the 90 degree setting made the door bang against the wall with the slightest effort. At the next cam adjustment, the door only opens about 80 degrees, then swings back and stays in place about 70 degrees. This is because the upper and lower firing bars twist around each other and start forming a "V" as they are too short and poorly made to produce a strong firing. And because of that "V" shape, the top cam pushes the hinge pin further and further each time you open the door, making the problem worse. It doesn't help that now that these things are in place, the hinge pins can't safely reach the bottom loop of the hinge. not working. I understand why and I am willing to offer advice on a reengineering project in exchange for free parts that I can give my honest and unbiased opinion on.
