Totally stunning when finished

I've recently started painting "color by numbers" with my own hands and really enjoyed it. This was the first deep contrast I've done, so it was very interesting to see all the colors needed to create this effect. It was challenging but not overly difficult, and as said above, it's nice when it's done.

For those who have patience and a steady hand

This is my first time trying paint by numbers. I really liked the picture and since there were only 3 colors I figured why not. Well, if they had skills for that, it would definitely be called advanced. The image turned out to be much more complex than expected and the numbers are so small I feel I need a magnifying glass (I have almost 20/20 eyesight). The most annoying thing about this set was that the canvas was folded and if you leave it open it doesn't work. I had to iron it several times…

Absolutely delighted!

This was my first PBN and I loved it! Not easy (many small places) but I liked it. A few things I would recommend to anyone I've done to make it enjoyable. Since my canvas was folded (a lot of them folded) take it to Michaels and ask him to dry mount it (about $15-20). This will remove any wrinkles and leave you with a nice hard surface to paint on. Also, take tape around all the outside edges (don't worry about keeping a straight line). I've also used Liquidtex flow additive when my paint got…

UPDATE Review

UPDATE: I've been told that painting by numbers is a great way to relax. This image is NOT relaxing. There are so many small areas that need to be painted over and whitened, there are six shades and that's a big part of the picture, you have to repaint everything twice because the lines and numbers show through. You pretty much watch the paint dry so you can apply another coat of paint. I had no idea there were so many white people in the picture. The brushes are good but disappointing as some…

I bought it by mistake thinking it was a diamond color by number and not a real one, but that's not why I rated it less than 5 stars. The material on which it is applied is excellent. It comes on a very durable, flexible, thick canvas. I was very impressed with that. This is also a large size. I haven't really tried it yet (and I'm not sure I will) because some of them are so insanely small I doubt I can pull it off.
