Convenient help for vacationing fish owners!

This weekend feeder is a must-have for any fish owner who travels frequently. The compact size makes it easy to store and the food is released gradually for up to three days. It is also affordable compared to other automatic feeders. However, it may not be suitable for larger fish or those with specific dietary needs. Overall, highly recommended in the category of pet supplies.

Pros
  • Easy and convenient way to feed fish over the weekend
Cons
  • No control over amount of food dispensed, could potentially overfeed fish and create excess waste in the tank.

Not suitable for a small pool.

We were away for a long weekend (3.5 days) - when we came back the water was yellowish and smelling very bad, despite having a filter and aerator to have . Unfortunately, Mr. Fish did not live. We have previously used 3 day old feeders with no problems. It may have been his time, but I think the dirty water killed him. I would not recommend it in an aquarium smaller than 5 gallons.

Pros
  • Contains a balanced selection of freeze dried products
Cons
  • String is shorter than other picks

Good food block for fish and aquatic animals

We were gone 8 days and the block completely dissolved and our goldfish looked very healthy. It didn't leave the same scale that used to clog my filter. Very happy so thought I should leave a review to let others know another one star review is dubious. As with any slow release fertilizer, there needs to be circulation in the aquarium for it to work.

Pros
  • The block slowly dissolves to provide a temporary food source when the aquarist is absent
Cons
  • Expandable
