I like this one BUT.

I wanted to learn how to make lip balm and other skin care products, I'm vegan so I don't use beeswax. This product is AMAZING! It melts well and works really well with my coconut oil and shea butter. Remember to melt this product on LOW HEAT, when using this product do not rush as it may FIRE! I will for sure get more.

Pros
  • Good product for the price
Cons
  • Thin

Terrible and dingy

This is the worst kind of wax to use in lip balm or ointment. It has to be very hot (180-200f) to liquefy and as soon as you add some it starts to solidify and turns into a mess. You cannot add butter or other oils at such a high temperature as it will destroy all of their good health benefits. You also can't add flavor at this high temperature without causing a MAJOR burnout. I regret the purchase, wasted time and products.

Pros
  • Strong construction
Cons
  • No automatic

Produces cosmetics of excellent quality

I use it as part of a lip balm recipe, the product itself is of excellent quality but I'm not sure if I notice any odd smell or taste in it Lip Balms by -for this ingredient. They don't smell rotten or smelly, they just smell like cosmetics. However, I add essential oils and it helps with that cosmetic smell. What I love about adding this to my lip balms is that it helps keep them from melting when they're in my bag. I still generally use it in my recipes.

Pros
  • Great for a small home
Cons
  • Questionable purchase for the elderly
