I can't connect to the WAN/Internet when my FIOS coaxial cable is connected directly to this router. Frontier Tech got me an Arris adapter within 24 hours of my call. The ONT/FIOS box coax cable is connected to the adapter split's coax pin such that the other end is connected to the router's cable line pin. Works great as a G1100 replacement. This saves me $10/month renting from Frontier Fios in Florida (100/100). I had to buy an Arris MEB1100 ethernet bridge adapter (about $25). The bridge I bought new comes with a USB cable to power it from the router. I connected the coaxial cable from the wall (ONT) to the adapter and then connected the ethernet from the adapter to the red ethernet port on the router's ONT. That's it, I didn't use a splitter but all I have is internet, no TV or phone. Frontier

This is not a MoCA gateway like G1100! In fact, this is a standard router, it cannot communicate with the ONT via CoAX, but can communicate with other MoCA devices via CoAX. If you don't need this feature, buy a better router. You must use a MoCA bridge for your ONT if connecting via CoAX, or you must have an Ethernet ONT configured. The router works fine; This is an exact replacement for the model I sent back to Frontier. HOWEVER, they still charge me for rent because I haven't rented anything, which they call "company policy". my own gear and no rental - although I don't currently rent anything from them - although Frontier can't show me in their terms and conditions that if they don't rent anything they still charge gear rental.
