Great find.: Camera and photo

Exactly what I needed. Compact and durable. Ideal for travel. I've never used it, but I'm sure it will be perfect for my purposes.

Pros
  • Great selection
Cons
  • Unsure

Slightly heavy: monopods

The device is quite heavy, but will carry my SLR camera. Easy to move and easily adjustable in height. It is not possible to quickly install or remove the camera.

Pros
  • High marks for stability and durability from testers
Cons
  • Useless features

Real convenience: monopods

Nice that this monopod has a built-in kickstand. good for relaxing with family and setting camera timers. A must-have for photographers/videographers of all levels.

Pros
  • Hands-free operation
Cons
  • No paint required

Excellent quality for tripods and monopods

This is better quality than I expected. It works well as a monopod and the legs are a nice touch. With its legs extended, it's more wobbly than a real tripod, but it will come in handy. I used the small video camera on it unattended as camera B for the dual camera interview. Just make sure nobody can accidentally hit it as it doesn't take long for it to fall over. I wouldn't rely on it outdoors in strong winds. The legs rattle a bit when tucked away, but I just wrapped them with a rubber bandโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Perfect for outdoor activities
Cons
  • Something is wrong

That's what I expected

I like the idea that you don't have to take up as much space as a regular tripod. Judging by the wobbling, you can't use it outside when it's windy. But if it's not windy it should work. I have a Canon SLR TI3 with a 28-250 lens so it's heavy and works great. I put the Supak submachine gun on a monopod so I could shoot quickly and move the camera up and down with something easy. Now it's easy to set up. .I didn't know I had to buy a separate head to mount the camera on it when I bought it.

Pros
  • Quality construction
Cons
  • Base required

Great nightstick for photographers

When you really need stability, any cheap tripod will do better than this monopod. The monopod gives you extra stability, so you can slow down your shutter speed by a few steps. This takes the weight of the camera and lens off your hands. However, for real stability to achieve long shutter speeds, this is not the point to rely on. While tripod legs offer some stability when absolutely nothing else is available, a cheap tripod really is the best tool. The most compelling reason a photographerโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Absolutely amazing!
Cons
  • Not bad, but...
