This water pump is a total waste of money. Despite being advertised as a replacement part for automotive use, it fails to deliver reliable performance. The installation process itself was a nightmare, and once it was up and running, it barely lasted a few weeks before breaking down again. The only upside is that it was relatively cheap, but in this case, you truly get what you pay for.

Works great, the parts store said $300 for the same part and although they are better quality this one has a 4 year warranty. So if it breaks again in a year or two, who cares, I'll buy another one. Also, it fixed my coolant leak and my heater is exceptionally better than before, it heats up quickly and blows more air.

This item works but is not correct. With this item installed, your cooling fan will run for about 5 seconds during system check because this pump is not assembled properly. BMW will perform a system test and notify you of a test failure by running a fan to ensure the vehicle can cool down. I determined this by installing a faulty pump and aborting the fan check even though the pump was not running. I wish I had known about this issue before purchasing.
