Description of OEMTOOLS 24215 Drive Impact Socket

MAKES A TOUGH JOB EASY: Because ball joints usually last 70,000 miles or more, by the time they go bad, they can be rusted and stuck in place; Using this specially designed ball joint socket makes removing a stubborn ball joint painless. SPECIALTY TOOL: This ball joint separator is made to service light trucks and vans from Chrysler and Dodge; Whether you need a Chrysler ball joint socket or a Dodge ball joint socket, check your model's service manual if this 2-9/64" socket tool fits. HAND OR IMPACT: The power is in your hands; This ball joint removal tool can be used either with an impact wrench or with a long cheater bar to remove stubborn ball joints; It's up to you whether you show off the power of your muscles or impact tool. BUILT TO LAST: Made from chrome alloy steel, the ball joint separator tool stays strong; Ball joints may not need service often, but when they do, it is usually a good idea to service both upper ball joints and lower ball joints together. PROTECT YOUR SUSPENSION: If ball joints aren't serviced in a timely manner, damage to other parts of the vehicle can occur; It could even lead to a dangerous loss of control; Keep the vehicle and passengers safe by repairing with this ball joint tool.

Disappointed best in Steering & Suspension Tools

This ball joint bushing will not fit properly on the original ball joint and two others purchased from an auto parts store.

Value for money ball joint and tie rod tools

Worked great which is the only thing it's good for. You don't have to buy a $98 outlet that's good for just one purpose. Heavy construction, perfect fit and fast shipping

Pros
  • tools and equipment
Cons

Great head at a good price

Used this head to replace the upper ball joints on my '94 Dodge B350. I tried an air wrench first but they didn't move so I had to use a broken rod and a 5" wrench. The ball joints came loose normally and the pan held perfectly.

Pros
  • Ball Joint & Tie Rod Tools
Cons
  • Not bad
