Must-Have Tool for Automotive Brake Repairs

This adjustable brake engine tool is a game-changer for anyone who regularly works on automotive brakes. Through trial and error, I found that it easily fits into tight spaces and adjusts to fit a range of brake sizes. The durable construction ensures that it can withstand heavy use. However, the price point may be a bit steep for occasional DIY use.

Pros
  • Adjustable, durable
Cons
  • Price may be high for casual use.

Improved but Better in Brake Adjusting Tools

Worked well to replace the rear roller bearing on a Befco flail mower. Stones break off very easily, so don't think that you have to make a lot of wheel cylinders before the stones need to be replaced.

Pros
  • TENSION: To ensure the grindstones are snug against the sides of the cylinder, the tension on the stones ranges from 1-1/4 to 3-1/2 inches; To change the tension on the piston honing tool, simply pull or loosen the retainer above the spring
Cons
  • Not bad, but...

Missing parts or bad publicity

. Item arrived with 3/4" honing blades for master cylinders only. 2" blades are required to sharpen small engine cylinders, but these were not included. Suspected missing 2" blades and returned the item but turns out you need to purchase 2" honing blades as an accessory to sharpen small engine cylinders. Very misleading ad.

Pros
  • INCLUDES 3 CENTER STONES: Our engine honing tool comes with 3 center stones, one at the end of each shank; Each of the cylindrical honing stones are 3/4" and 220 grit; you can be assured of a smooth finish with these Caliper Honing Stones
Cons
  • I will add later
