Lift removal that works

I have a 63 Corvair that I use to replace bad lifters. This has made life easier for the few lifters who stick to recommendations.

Pros
  • GOLS certified
Cons
  • Not bad

Like a professional mechanic

Used to remove parts from 77 F150 for engine cleaning and minor repairs. Really made my job easier and therefore protected the parts from me with a tool that could have caused damage.

Pros
  • Certified
Cons
  • Out of style

Elevator Sliding Hammer

The tool works fine as long as you remove the remaining wire at the top of the elevator, otherwise the tool will not get enough traction. A word of caution: if your lifter doesn't move after a few pulls, it's more than likely that your lifter has grown on the cam surface, and you should stop before screwing the lifter hole shut.

Pros
  • Confident
Cons
  • Volume

Works great but follows basic instructions.

Removed 16 jacks from 1960 283 with motor installed. Notes: 1. It is best to remove the lifter clamps to allow the tool to grab the inner comb. 2. Use a few light taps on the weight. Do not attempt to pull the lifter out or hit the weight with all your strength. 3. Turning the handle clockwise increases the handle on the lift. Once tightened, sometimes you can just keep turning the handle clockwise and unscrew the jack.

Pros
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • Quick Start Guide
