Will not fit 2001 Silverado

The assembly fits but the cut outs for the lamp mount were wrong for my son's 2001 Silverado 1500. Should have read the reviews as I'm not the only one with this problem. Also because the plastic felt terribly brittle and the seals didn't look like they would keep water out. Too bad because they looked pretty cool.

Leaking headlights - fog won't go away on the right side

I bought them in December 2021 and installed them at the end of April 2022. I washed the truck once within two days of installation. Now there is moisture in the right taillight, a significant amount, and it will not evaporate. The seller includes a small leaflet that says what is "normal condensation" and what is a leak, and my right taillight is clearly leaking. I would not recommend buying this tail light kit.

Good, economical replacement

Used truck with fender buckling in history. The left tail light was attached with tape. There is also paint and drywall compound. Replaced by this. Delivered early, fits well, nice finish. The only caveat, which others have also mentioned, is that one bulb on each side isn't firmly seated in the socket. They won't fall out, and it wasn't the right socket, so it's a little puzzling. A thicker rubber washer and piece of tape hold them in place, so perfectly happy except for one issue.

Not compatible with a 2001 Chevy Silverado 1500

These lights looked slightly different than the tail light on my broken 2001 1500 Silverado, but the description said they would fit. It's not like this. The new taillight housing has cutouts that match the factory bulb sockets. The notches don't match. I'm sure you could use a Dremel tool and sand it down, but I was concerned that the wiring harness/lamp socket would remain in the long run. Looks like a real hull would fit nicely in a truck.
