Great Automotive Splitter Switch

Based on my experience, this splitter switch is a huge help when I need to test multiple circuits on my car. It's standardized to 16 pins, making it compatible with most vehicles. The switch is easy to use and durable. Plus, it's compact enough to carry in my toolbox. The only downside is that I wish it came with a manual, but it wasn't too difficult to figure out. Overall, a great addition to any automotive diagnostic toolkit.

Pros
  • Allows for easy switching between multiple OHP devices connected to a single projector.
Cons
  • May require specialized knowledge for installation and setup.

Doesn't switch as described

This does not disable the second device as described. The seller sent a replacement cable and it behaved the same way. I do not recommend.

Pros
  • MAXIMUM CAPACITY: Get high-speed transmission and stable operation of your existing OBD2 device, making vehicle diagnosis easier and faster.
Cons
  • Good, but not great

He does what I need. Works well!

A standard OBD splitter cable without a power switch will do if you only need power/ground. However, when both devices communicate using CAN, both devices start fighting over who is using it. A switched splitter is very convenient because you can connect one device on the switching side that is always trying to communicate with CAN and one that only occasionally communicates with CAN on the non-switched side. Turn off the switch if you want another device to take precedence. Makes life easier…

Pros
  • IMPORTANT NOTICE. This is just a cable adapter, not an OBD2 scanner. You need a separate OBD2 scanner to connect to your car.
Cons
  • Crumpled
