Blades in Oil - Update

Opened the packaging today while making face masks. I put the slices on the cloth and noticed a strange smell. after inserting one of the new blades into the circle cutter, I noticed my hands were greasy and there were greasy stains on the fabric. I've never noticed oil on previous blades I've bought. Each of the blades has a CLEAR OIL coating. Update: not just a light coating, but something that drips off the blade. abominable. All the blades I received stick together creating a very dangerous situation. Eventually I managed to separate one with styptic forceps and tweezers, but I was always afraid that I would cut myself. Blades must be individually wrapped for safety! When I managed to separate one of the blades and fit it to Olfa's 45mm circle cutter, the new blade was duller than the original blade that was being replaced. Frustrated and annoyed

EDIT 2/5/17: As 3 of the 5 blades in the pack were unused I finally gave up. On a recent visit to my local quilt store, I bought a ten-pack of Olfa blades (not cheap at $59.95, but it's a lot better than wasting money on those useless blades). As soon as I put on one of the NEW blades and cut out some pinwheel squares that I trimmed, I immediately felt the difference. The blades, which I bought locally, cut through butter like a hot knife.
