What I wanted! The 12" OLFA Rotating Self-Healing Mat is the perfect size. Large enough to leave enough room to cut, but small enough to put in your bag and take with you to classes and workshops. Unlike some other mats, it rotates itself slightly.Reviews, I did not have the smell of gas formation.

This item has been on my wish list for years, but lately the need to mass produce face masks has forced me to finally take the plunge. I'm so glad I did. This is an invaluable tool in the sewing workshop, especially for a quilter or crafter. This makes cutting small parts easier and more precise. I've used it enough already to "justify" this purchase and I've had it for less than a month. You can't do without it now!

I was very disappointed with it. I don't think it rotates at all. It's not turntable/lazy susan style like some of the best I've seen. I thought it would be useful for cutting and aligning quilt blocks, but I have to lower the cutter and use both hands to separate the two-ply rug and get it to rotate. I expected more from OLFA. I should have returned it but instead I gave it away.

I was very happy to have this for quilting. But as soon as I opened the packaging, the rug had a very strong unpleasant chemical-plastic odor that I had to remove from my sewing room. I can't use this with a strong scent. I ended up putting it in the garage because the smell filled my house. Please tell me what can be done to get rid of this strong smell. Do they all smell like this? If there is no way to eliminate this smell I have to return it. Please reply. Thank you Anita Estioko.

I bought a spinning mat from Fiskars and it is warped . I ordered it because it is 14 x 14 and the Olfa mat is only 12 x 12. But every time I rotated it it flew off the floor mat and shifted everything I had cut out. I don't know, maybe it was just a bad batch, maybe it was stored incorrectly before shipping. Needless to say I sent it back and ordered this one. I got it last night and I just love it because it's perfect. I've been cutting quilt pieces since I got them. The top mat is heavy…
