Worked great for the first few months. Now, less than 6 months later, it doesn't run more than 5 minutes before shutting down. We have followed all recommendations for care and cleaning. It's too late to return. A real bummer. Not just worth using for 4-6 months.

Don't actually use it as often as you would like. It turns out that my water is very clean. Very little is left after cooking. I've made my water less alkaline, so I prefer to drink from the tap. This is odd because you might think it would be neutral with pure H2O. ? Will use it when I need it. I'm not sure how much power it draws if I have to leave it on for 4 hours.

Due to the expected longer delivery time I bought distilled water shortly before delivery and only now found the time to use it to distill water for my CPAP machine use. That's cool! Large volume, easy to assemble and use. It's noisy and takes a while to do its thing, so leave it running when you're not around. But apart from the noise it's great

That's all they promised. It saves me time and money and my back from having to constantly lug around a gallon of distilled water. I love it. They do contain cleaning products but I just used undiluted vinegar, let dry and cleaned! Pure vinegar is great for tough water stains, plus it's cheaper and better for Mother Nature!

This burner was ordered on April 5th and arrived on May 13th but this NEW unit was missing a bottle cap for the gallon jug. I had to wait 10-15 days. Meanwhile, I couldn't use the machine until the bottle cap arrived. As of June 29, more than 15 days have passed and the missing part has not yet been received. Attempting to return an item. UPDATE: Refund was made on 06/30/2020

The machine runs very well and is not noisy. The dimensions are larger than I expected, but it turns out it uses about a gallon and a half of distilled water in 4.5 hours. Distilling with a pot on the stove I only got about 8 ounces in 2 hours and it's easy and clean and I'm sure it's a lot more energy efficient! When I first got this burner it worked fantastic, me and my lady loved it. It was quiet, easy to clean, and made distilled water quickly and 1.5 gallons at a time. Made a great purchase! Then boom. At about 5 months the cycle started to stop at the beginning of the cycle. The unit had just stopped and when the cycle button was pressed/shaked the unit would turn on the light and make a fan noise but soon stopped. The product description says "No need to purchase and replace dirty filter cartridges." The actual product manual that came with the machine says otherwise. See attached picture. Even better, the seller completely denies that the product requires a filter, nor does it tell anyone how to get a replacement. When my device is ready I will post a photo of the filter taken by the machine. The only reason I'm giving it two stars instead of one is that the device does what it says on the tin. for now.
