🔪 Olson 0.025" APG73805 10.5" Blade Review

Bought a few months ago. When I'm currently mounting one on my bandsaw and on a tuned saw with the blade "centered" on the tires, it moves back and forth a distance equal to the depth of the neck for each revolution. The worst blade I've ever seen.

It's like buying a new saw. Until I installed this blade I didn't realize how easy and straight my bandsaw could cut. And I sawed through a quarter/8 walnut for a project and this blade didn't slow down or show any signs of dulling. Finally. I will buy more.

I have an old Delta band saw from my father-in-law and when the blade broke I didn't know what to do. I ended up ordering one and going with the All Pro brand. I did this mainly for cost reasons. It was easy to install and cuts like a champ. I sharpen turkey pots and the part of the wood I use is very old and very hard and the blade has never let me down. Thanks for a great product at a great price.

This is my first Olson blade. I've been using a set knife for quite some time. One piece of wood started smoking like crazy and cutting was very slow. My shop has a smoke alarm so I stopped cutting it so it wouldn't work. I thought it was just very hard wood. nope I swapped out the blade for an Olson blade and it cut like soft jaws. Now I must figure out how to get rid of my bold dull blade.

I tried band saws from other manufacturers until I read the reviews on this particular blade so I have it Bought. The width of the blade combined with the TPI and the angle of the teeth makes this blade the best all round blade on the market in my opinion. I have used Olson blades in the past with good results and have ordered these as a replacement. When I assembled it and did a test cut, I immediately noticed a thud and a jerking in the cut with each rotation of the blade. The jerk was enough to rip a piece of wood out of my hand! It felt like one tooth was longer than the rest, catching every turn. I removed the blade and measured each tooth. They were all 3/8 inch long except for five at the long end of the blade.
