fake Olson saw blades, parts and accessories

I like Olson saw blades but the All Pro doesn't reach the same level of quality. It works rougher, bouncing just enough with each twist to widen the cut.

Pros
  • Great design
Cons
  • Something different

Clean, even cuts for band saws

Good saw blade. Works much better than I expected. The thin strips I cut out for laminating were smooth enough to be glued together without additional sanding.

Pros
  • Price
Cons
  • There are disadvantages

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Decent blade, terrible weld.

Use this blade to slab a large log of red rubber. In general, this thing tugged at him like an animal! For this kind of rough work it was amazing. Gossip about an incredibly bad weld was another story. I did everything I could to clean it up, but it was beyond repair.

Pros
  • cool product
Cons
  • There are other interesting options.

.25 " on power and hand tools

Blade is actually 105.25" long not 105" as advertised. And I've tried two blades. While this is fine on larger saws may be, on my shop Fox W1706 with a 6" riser this is too long for the blade to fit tight enough. The blade that comes with the riser is exactly 105" long and fits perfectly. That is too bad as the blade itself seems well built hopefully the guys at Olson will recalibrate their gear.

Pros
  • Easy to install
Cons
  • Hard to tell

So far so good with power and hand tools

I bought this to try my hand at sawing lumber. I went out and bought an early 90's 14" AMT 4113 band saw with a 6" riser. I was concerned it wouldn't have enough power to cut thicker material. Although I've never cut anything larger than 10 inches, this blade works great! It drifts very little even on my old steel guides (I switched to composite guide blocks) and leaves really clean cuts. Couldn't be better for the price. Maybe clip 30ft from stock so can't comment on durability but so far so…

Pros
  • This is great
Cons
  • Some bugs

Chew a lot and stay sharp!

I installed this blade and immediately started cutting logs into lumber. The blade was easy to track and draw, it's gnawed through a dozen logs and it's still sharp! I sawed a 9" cedar, a 10" Bradford pear and a 5/4" x 8" walnut and a 5/4" x 7" bubinga! I have never tried this brand but decided to give it a try because of the price. I am pleasantly surprised and will continue to use it. Added April 5, 2016: Just ordered my second blade. Although my magazine was mothballed for 4 months I am very

Pros
  • Premium hardened and tempered material - stronger and faster cutting blade
