OM Digital Solutions 🎙️ VN-2000 64MB Voice Recording Device Review

Bought this recorder at least a few years ago. It worked great whenever I used it, which wasn't a big deal. When I recently turned it on to use it, it freezes completely when I press the record button. Removing and replacing the batteries resets it, but it freezes again as soon as I hit the record button. I took very good care of my unit; still looks new! Looking for another brand as a replacement. I will not buy Olympus again.

I use this device at work to listen to recorded TV shows at other times. I use a cable with 3.5mm plugs on both ends to plug into my TV's headphone jack and record programs while they're on. I also have a cable with a 3.5mm plug on one end and an audio output on the other for recording broadcasts from my DVR, Tivo or VCR. Long speed is almost inaudible, but average speed (16 hours of recording) is pretty good. It's not an iPod, but I only paid about $50 for it and it does the job.

Bought a few years ago and used once. So while I was rehearsing with our choir for the concert, I started recording the rehearsals. I only recorded 4 or 5 sessions and then he died during the last workout. I thought it was the battery even though it said 50% charge when I got there, but I changed the batteries and it still didn't do anything. So now I have no entries and no access to the previous ones. I want it reproduced like some of the other reviewers. I don't know if I will buy a newer one

Excellent voice recorder, fits in any shirt pocket, is almost invisible and very easy to use. Number of storage hours. Picks up the quietest sounds. I used it in the upstairs lobby to record a discussion I was having and it recorded the downstairs discussions at 60ft, but the clarity was good enough to distinguish what was being said on either floor. I am very impressed with this little device. It's incredibly small and light and very easy to use. For anyone accustomed to each year's tape recorders, this (a) makes it easier to store and access various recordings and (b) the batteries seem to drain minimally. I've used it a lot in the few weeks since I got it and the display still shows full battery. I bought this recorder after reading the reviews and researching the product for my needs (college lectures) and bought it through Revain. I like the voice recorder.
