ideal for musicians who can hear music

ideal as a teaching tool for learning music by ear. I record the melody and use the slow down feature for the more difficult parts. The sound quality is normal, not great, but it can be connected to the speaker via the ear connector.

Fair Value of Portable Audio Video

I just received the item and I have no comparative experience with digital recorders. However, the features and performance seem average for this type of device. One downside is that fast/slow playback only changes speed by 25%, which isn't fast enough to watch a recording, or slow enough to easily transcribe. You need to download the WMV files to your computer and use other software for that. The manual is the same as for the 5200; the difference is only in the recording time. If you plan to…

Perfect for my needs.

First, this is the first digital recorder I've used, at least for production reasons. I am currently a student and hate taking notes so it occurred to me that I could record all my classes on a digital voice recorder and store them on my computer for future reference. The duration of my courses varies between 1.5 and 3 hours.
