I agree with Allison that it's just grey, not pearlescent. But then again, I wasn't looking for a fancy doily. I wanted it to be big and oh my god I made it! This napkin is huge (I only have two regular bowls for my Beagle). Oh ok my last one was too small so it's ok. I like the lip all the way around so the water doesn't splash onto the floor. It holds up pretty well on my wooden floor, but I don't know how it is on a tile floor.

I am very satisfied with the quality of this rug. It's a soft rubber material that doesn't slip on my floor. I was a little hesitant to buy it online as it might be flimsy or brittle. but quite heavy and well made. The silly dog is almost invisible (my cats aren't offended) and the lip around the rim is perfect. The color is pretty neutral as you can see in the picture. It's so nice to find good quality in consumer products that are so rare these days.

I was looking for something that had food in it for my dog as he likes tossing it around when he eats. It works great, I would say it holds about 80% of the food that falls out of his mouth when he nibbles. Someone else mentioned something about the picture of a raised dog, it's a little visible in the picture on Revain, but it's more pronounced in person, although I like it. The rug is easy to clean and does what I was hoping for in keeping my dogs messy. Great product, I would buy again.

I bought this because my dog keeps making a big mess around his harness. I assumed it was more of a hardened rubber, like a winter shoe mat. Instead, it's a very soft, pliable rubber, more like a very thin silicone spatula. With normal wear and tear (including your dog stepping on his lip) the lip loses its shape and becomes a flat mat.
