poor workmanship and not as advertised

None of them are square or parallel! The blades themselves protrude from the microphone up to 0.001 inch from top to bottom. Numerous scratches, blowholes and sharp edges. Terrible workmanship at best! Do you get what you pay for? !

Pros
  • Absolutely amazing!
Cons
  • Update Availability

Excellent accurate angles for the price. Ideal for woodworking.

Used for woodworking. We mainly mark and check the dovetails. I also use them for autotuning. There were a few cosmetic issues that I fixed. I broke the edges of the handles a bit to soften the sharp edges. Absolutely worth your money. I would highly recommend them to carpenters.

Bought to fix my saws

Despite all the junk I bought them to fix my saws. They can work for this, but the squares appear to be 1/2-1 1/2 degrees out of square. The body is easy to store, and they are packed in oil to prevent surface rusting during transportation. If you want real precision, you should avoid this. For my purposes, they can get the job done, but they won't know for sure until I start using them.

Pros
  • Decent performance

  • Some cons

One was not quite square

This is normal quality. The 3 inch square was not. The other 3 look pretty good. If you need something with a high level of accuracy, these are not worth buying. They are still good, but could be larger, the box has cut-outs in the hard foam, but the cut-outs are too small for two squares, DIN875 is written there, but there is no certification for squares.

Pros
  • Easy installation
Cons
  • There are other interesting options.

Product arrived torn and disgustingly dirty

Product arrived crumpled and dirty. The foam on top of the inside of the wooden box was all torn. The machinists' angles were gritty and dirty in the plastic bags they came in, they were like cloudy butter. Very disappointed with the product as if they had been used by a dirty auto mechanic and then put back in a bag and sold. Not to mention that when you opened the box, the sickening chemical smell of glue filled the room. Disgusting.

Pros
  • a practical item
Cons
  • so far so good

Surprise! India Awakens to Capitalism and Quality

How Much Trash Has India Pushed Through the First Dock in the Last Forty Years? Nothing, at least as far as these places go, it's a new day. I saved all the packaging material just because I knew it wouldn't stand up to a serious square test. I've tested every one I've inherited on my prized 6" Starrett. It's now about $400 alone. In bright backlight, I couldn't find the slightest streak when testing both the inside and outside. Now I have four perfect squares for a little over 10% of a good…

Pros
  • Great for a Small Home
Cons
  • Dubious Purchase for the Elderly
