Small and thin... perfect for a small purse. It has both a normal and a magnifying mirror. Opens and closes very easily with the magnetic opener. The leather cover makes it comfortable to hold. The only drawback is no backlight. It's my fault for not delving into it in detail ... but it's a big minus. I mostly use a compact mirror when I'm in dark rooms. Perfect for what I needed. Inexpensive, no-frills, compact mirror. One side is a normal mirror and the other side is a little enlarged. I use it in the office and keep it in my desk drawer. I didn't think I would need or want the magnifying page, but I found myself using it again. It's powerful enough to help you see things better, but not too powerful when every movement is excessive and preventing you from seeing yourself.

The third use, the black side mirror housing (not sure whether glass or polished metal, but the reflection is good and not distorted) is glued or fixed with adhesive on the back of both mirrors and BOTH sides fell just apart. I opened the mirror where you should and found myself with a black disguise in my hand and the mirror stayed closed.
