Ideal for carefully cutting large blocks

A woman asked me to finish a quilt she started 12 years ago. It had 15-3/4 inch cut blocks. This ruler made it a lot easier. I first found the center point and marked, then took the center measurement to line up the ruler and clipped each side from the center point. The ruler has hints for other uses. It was just what I needed to complete this quilt with its custom block sizes. Most square rulers aren't that big, so anything between 12" and 20.5" is no longer a problem for me. Oh, and you can…

The best on the market! Strongly recommends this.

This is one of the best products on the market. I bought it for my wife's sewing class and all the students loved it, saying it made their job a lot easier. Only downside was the poor shipping packaging, the Omnigrip quilt rule is a fragile item and should have at least been wrapped in bubble wrap. Sometimes the solid is too thick and some meshes may be too thick. Look for the thinnest versions at hardware stores and dollar stores. Then apply in small strips with thin double-sided tape or elastic glue like e-glue to just a few spots on the mesh, leave to dry overnight or at least 12 hours. This will prevent slipping, trust me. However, I need my…

Great little tool!

I have never quilted before but chose the Omnigrip 6X9 for quick scale construction drawings. It's great for that, but it's much more than just a "ruler", it's a great little TOOL. I found it useful for precise markup and cutting templates for prototyping work (fixed parallax bug). The fact that it is transparent with a contrasting black and yellow grid makes it easy to sketch out any pattern or design and check for flaws regardless of the color of the surface (the neon yellow is clearly…
