I have a 2018 version of the Macbook Air and my keyboard broke after about 18 months of use. Apple is offering a free replacement as it is a known issue but I can usually bring my laptop in for a replacement but due to Covid I would have to send it away for a week or so and I just don't feel comfortable with mine Computer in someone else's hands for so long.
