Oneida 2865020B 20 Piece Stainless Flatware Review

I have had this cutlery for over 20 years and had to buy more for a family gathering. My gripe is that the knife handles are noticeably thinner (and therefore look cheaper) than their predecessors. So if you want to spice up your old stuff and look for perfection, you will be disappointed.

I bought this set to replace some items that have been lost over the years but this set has a "Satin" finish on the handles, which was not specified on the website. In the photo, the satin knife is on the right. Since this is such an old stainless steel set that we love so much and there aren't many, I'll probably keep it for myself anyway.

I have had Oneida Flight cookware set since I had my first apartment many years ago and needed more as I now have a small family and my boyfriend and I are bad at washing are dishes regular. This set corresponds to my original set. Not entirely sure about the people who mentioned this being a different material/weight than previous older versions of this design. For me it is the same. Overall, I like this design because it's simple but not mundane.

I got this set 18 years ago and had to replace some parts that had been lost over the years (thanks to my kids I'm sure). The design was perfect except for the knife. They changed the design of the knife, which gave it 4 stars instead of 5. In the photo, the old design is on the right and the new one is on the left (the new one is flatter). It doesn't bother me enough to send them back, but it might be annoying for others.

I got an 8 for this pattern that I bought a few years ago and have always loved. Over the years some of the parts got lost or deteriorated so I decided to buy additional sets of 4 to fill them out. The quality of the new ones isn't like the originals - instead they're thin, cheap and light. The photos on Revain seem to be of original quality - the new knives don't even look like the picture; They are flat with some kind of carved pattern and not shaped like the original. I bought a 20 piece set to add extra items to the set originally bought in 2005. Fork spacing is slightly different (think of the point where your fingers meet your palm). As mentioned in other reviews, the metal is noticeably thinner than the previous version, particularly on the ends of the forks and spoons. The picture is a bit misleading. I thought the finish would be "brushed" stainless steel, not "polished". They shine. Like a mirror. AKA, you can see yourself in it. You should wipe the dishes with a cloth to keep them looking clean after washing/drying. Since we don't often have guests, it doesn't really matter.
