They're stretching like crazy so don't use too many of these - I made that mistake and they jumped out of the vase and onto the whole floor. Didn't really do what I was hoping - securing the stems in the vase. It is best to use marble for this.

I really liked these beads! I used them in clear flower vases for my daughter's prom. They stay full size for a very long time. It also has a great calming effect on children with sensory problems. My son played with them in the bowl, ran his hands over them and it calmed him down.

Don't put too many small beads in the water if you don't need them! They multiply very quickly, but only reach their size a few hours after drinking water. Okay, there were no "guides" on how to measure for the size of the jar, so I did this to fill that vase in the photo. I used a heaping teaspoon of LEVEL balls and 8 cups of DISTILLED water. I let them sit for 12 hours and they would start drinking as soon as they got wet. The beads start out very small and grow to about the size of a large bean or 12mm bead.
