First time with them. Wanted to use it for a houseplant. I added bottled distilled water to hopefully keep mold away a little longer. I started with a small bowl but realized my mistake when they started to grow. They remain fairly small but compared to their original size I would say they have done what they should. I started playing with them and found the growth accelerated. They also grew faster when placed in a wider tray to give them room to grow. When the arms were stretched out, they left a slimy residue. I was curious what it's made of and the only thing I could find was polyacrylamide (polymer). I assume it's the same substance used in cosmetics and other things in the US. It is not regulated in the US but is allowed in the UK because it breaks down into carcinogenic acrylamide when it decomposes. Well, I'm not sure if this is correct, but if anyone has more information I would greatly appreciate more information. It's amazing and fun, but I definitely want to make sure it's really safe like it says on the product description. I received two small pouches and only used one to fill both different size bowls.
