Satisfied with the product from the Sport section

This is a replacement as my husband knocked over the original wheels. Happy with the product but my son only used them for a couple of weeks until he learned to ride without training wheels. Appears to be adjustable so it can grow with your child if needed.

Pros
  • Everything is OK!
Cons
  • Broadly ok but...

Works well!: Training wheels

So far so good. My son is 6 years old and this is his first bike. Fits his 20" bike perfectly. The instructions are easy to follow. You have to use the nuts that are already on the rear wheel. There wasn't much room to work, we squeezed the rear frame closer to tighten the nuts to do this bring to engage the threads.

Pros
  • Delivery was very fast
Cons
  • I vaguely remember

Great quality, the best in the sport

Works great so far and much better than the ones that came with the bike. The wheels are actually flush with the ground. Easy to install, but pay attention to the plastic chain cover on the bike. I didn't take this into account and had to bump into it to get the rod flush. All in all it was worth it.

Pros
  • Quality construction
Cons
  • Tradeable

Will not fit bike

They will not fit our DynaCraft bike either. If they reversed the U-channel it would have worked, but otherwise the bolts on our bike were too short. So I removed the pedals and had him practice gliding with the seat down. After the steering became automatic, I started pedaling again and showed him how to drive. Raised immediately without training wheels.

  • Impressive

Good training wheels for transition to cycling

We bought training wheels for our son who wants to ride a 20 inch bike but is not ready to balance on his own. You are perfect for him now. The training wheels were easy to attach and strong enough to make him realize that he didn't have to rely on them all the time and that he needed to learn how to keep his balance. All in all a good buy. Arrived quickly and well packaged!

Pros
  • hands free
Cons
  • poorly thought out

Works great, watch out for insecticide smell

Works great so far on 18" and 20" wheels. Unfortunately I think someone mentioned ants in the pack in the review, there are no ants but it stinks of insecticide. Keep it outside and wash your hands or wear gloves when installing. I don't mind them making sure there are no ants, but I would appreciate a description of the insecticide they used to see what I should be worried about. Overall it would have been 5 stars if it wasn't for the chemicals.

Overall not bad but not great

First you need tools to do this. They sent a wrench which was essentially useless (didn't match the screw they "put in"). Second, they're very long, which is both a good thing and a bad thing. In my case that was bad as for a bike for my 3 year old (which is smaller than the bike) they stuck out about four or five inches. I ended up cutting them to size. It also means I have to buy a new set when he outgrows his bike. Again, they're not bad, but not great.

Pros
  • Decent performance
Cons
  • No instructions

Fell apart as soon as she rode the bike.

It wasn't exactly easy to install at first, but after we installed it we thought it was fine. We bought the 20" for my daughter who is still not 100% comfortable without training wheels. Well, she took off with all her confidence and landed on the ground because the training wheels were totally bent and falling apart (and yes, they were tightened and secured as tight and secure as we could make it). It didn't work. for us in general. If you have a 20" bike and are thinking of buying one, I…

Pros
  • Great for me
Cons
  • Reliability
