ADVANCED OPTICS - Featuring an optimized design, this lens uses a series of 6 optical glass elements (one SD super-low dispersion) in 5 groups to reduce chromatic and spherical aberrations throughout the aperture range. A high definition anti-reflective coating suppresses lens flare and ghosting for increased contrast and color fidelity. SUPER ZOOM - 650-1300mm or 1300-2600mm with the 2x converter, this lens is not only a superb long range choice, but also performs well in a variety of scenes from sports and surveillance to lunar shots. SOLID CONSTRUCTION - Full metal body and rear mount allow this lens to withstand wear and tear much better than plastic lenses while commanding a rugged, solid feel when using. MANUAL FOCUSING - This lens has preset f-stops that correspond with the focal length at which you are shooting. An index for distance and diaphragm scale is inscribed on the lens barrel to coordinate focal length and aperture. and I bought it knowing that the picture quality wouldn't be very good. There are massive chromatic aberrations, but they are there.

You get a great zoom for the price and I bought it knowing the picture quality would be poor. There are large chromatic aberrations, but these are easily corrected by the Lightroom preset. You need to sharpen your post images heavily to get anything usable. But for the price, the lens is great.

My review is not showing as a confirmed purchase as for some reason Revain would not accept it even after 3 or more emails NOT wanting a refund so they sent it back anyway and I did it didn't rip people off so I had to go straight to the 47th photo to get their money for them. Simultaneously 47. This is a fantastic place to buy gear. Now we come to the assessment. This is a fantastic lens if you know how to use a manual lens. This is not a lens for on-the-go shooting. Good for the price

I ordered this for my Sony A7R and it works as advertised. The build quality is good, the lens is strong. The manual focus ring is surprisingly smooth, allowing you to manually focus with ease. You can use focus peaking, which is very helpful. The image quality is not outstanding, but decent and particularly good for the price. You must use this lens with a stable tripod. First I got a broken adapter but got another one for free that works great.
