I managed to use this shirt once as a base layer under my gi. After pulling it out of the first wash, I noticed a 3 foot length of rope snagging on the drawstring of a pair of running pants I was putting in the same load of laundry. The bottom hem of the shirt is already unbuttoned. The rest of the load consisted of other workout clothes; nothing exceptionally abrasive to explain damage to the seams.
