Difficult to set up

Relatively easy to set up but difficult to tune. It's not easy to tighten everything properly and still maintain screen alignment.

Pros
  • Decent performance
Cons
  • Some difficulties

I was skeptical about such a small mount.

I was skeptical about such a small mount for such expensive electronics, but there's no doubt about this thing. I feel absolutely safe.

Pros
  • handy item
Cons
  • not bad

Looks great and works well

Looks great and works well. Should have been easier to install considering I bought it for my Optima projector. Not quite what I expected. I could buy any universal mount for less money.

Pros
  • Ideal for outdoor activities
Cons
  • unreliable

No option to expand

I searched but didn't find any accessories to expand or contract. The only option is to take a different model. My Optoma UHD60 doesn't have keystone adjustment so it needs to be turned down. Not this bracket.

Pros
  • Pretty impressive
Cons
  • Update availability

The horizontal offset doesn't work because they drilled holes.

The bracket has a factory defect if the top bracket has holes that are 90 degrees from where they should be. This means that the horizontal shift will not work. Instead, it can move back and forth a few inches, but not left to right. You can work a little on your ceiling and try to work around it. I called them and they agreed that this was an issue they had known about for some time.

Pros
  • Pretty package
Cons
  • Only available in black

Works good not cool

Works. It's not easy to set up given all the fancy angles. If you want to pick it up, for example, you have to fiddle with it for a while because it also moves sideways and askew. For a hard-to-reach ceiling mount, this is an issue, but once you have it in place you'll be fine. It's not very strong because when the wind blows really hard my house moves just enough to create a shake that is very noticeable in the projected image. Nothing else in my house shakes visibly.

Pros
  • Great for me
Cons
  • Speed

Easy to loosen screws.

The hex head screws holding the levers were so tight from the factory that I removed them. The smaller hex head screws on this mount are very poorly made. I ended up using the much better screws I had at the store to set the arms properly. I wanted to assemble my Optoma UHD 60 projector as quickly as possible so I didn't want to return this bracket. I wish the manufacturers had used better materials. I gave two stars only because of the obvious flaws in the screws used in assembly. For the…

Pros
  • Few competitors
Cons
  • Big and bulky

Good but not worth the price.

I used it to mount the Optoma HD27 projector on the ceiling. He does his job, but he's a jack of all trades; master of nothing. The HD27 has three attachment points; it has four arms. The projector couldn't be positioned properly (right over its center of gravity) and it took too long to arrange the mounts in a configuration that would get the job done. I had to buy mounting screws separately. for a whopping $0.38 at Home Depot. I'm confused as to why they just weren't included. I asked the…

Pros
  • GOLS certified
Cons
  • I won't say anything

The device looks beautiful. It blends well and doesn't look like it.

I bought this for the Optoma HD20 ceiling mount. The device looks beautiful. It fits well and doesn't look like a device hanging from the ceiling. This is a universal mount designed for use with a range of Optoma projectors. Therefore, it has additional details that can be customized for different projectors. While it's fairly easy to install, the instructions aren't particularly good. For example, there are two sets of mounting brackets, but the instructions don't say which ones to use with…
