🎨 Oramask 813 Stencil Film: 12.125" x 50ft Roll for Cricut, Silhouette, Cameo & Craft Cutters - Top Choice for Precision Stenciling! Review

I have been using Oramask for about 2 years now and have never had the same problems as now. No matter what I do, it doesn't stick like it used to. This is a brand new reel I've had since January and now I keep having the same problem. Really disappointing considering how amazingly it worked.

I love the amount of projects you get with one roller. It's really easy to use and goes through the Cricut machine very easily, but once you glue it to the wood it doesn't stick at all due to its low tack and then starts to bubble allowing the paint to bleed through. It is also very difficult to remove the transfer paper because the stickiness on the transfer paper is stronger than the stickiness on the screen film. So if you try to peel off the transfer film, the screen film will be lifted up.

A few months ago I ordered a 50" x 12.125" width and received an 11.75" width which is too small for my 12" models. I thought it was ok, it was a coincidence and I spent a lot of time tweaking my designs because I had orders to fill. I ordered a size 12.125 for the second time thinking it was right - I just opened it up and lo and behold it's narrower than 12" AGAIN. Those of us who use 813 know we need whatever we can get. funny - I'll find someone else to order next time.

This is my favorite product for making stencils with my Screamer. This is NOT the best option for very small or complex designs, but if you're patient, it works! The glue on the back is perfect and doesn't peel off the paint. It works with the default "Vinyl" on my Cricut Explore. Sometimes I get a "air bubbles" problem, but this is easy to fix! I've also found that sealing the stencil with a mod or background color prior to applying the stencil ensures virtually no bleed! Highly recommended…

I tried several alternatives including old masking tape to make stencils for wood painting. Last thing I used was another brand that was $2 cheaper for the same amount of material - the other material was totally opaque (which is not good when trying to make color blocking stencils) and pulled out some wood fibers, when I tried to remove his. I have ordered other products advertised as Oramask 813 but those products do not work as well as this one. Other products either allow the paint to seep under the stencil (even after applying a light coat of Mod Podge over the stencil) or pull the paint/wood from underneath (even if the stencil is removed against the grain).
