The end of the suture/leader was crimped during packaging. Every leader has a crimp/bend that essentially renders it useless. Think of a needle and thread with a hinge at the pointy end of the needle. Slitting the front 1/8th of the needle threader with a razor blade saves thread, but I have to do this on every pack. I was skeptical about this product. I have a crown for two teeth, in the middle of which the dentist didn't even insert a plastic needle. They suggested an irrigator. I used one but was worried it wouldn't go under the crown. This product worked wonderfully! With a little persuasion, it went right under my gumline in the middle. I like that they are individually wrapped. Highly recommended.

I've been using Superfloss for years and love it but recently after some dental work I've had a rough time with Superfloss so I gave it a try. I was surprised that they came packaged in paper bags in the box pictured. It's convenient and compact to carry several rather than a whole box. If you have braces buy this thread. My dentist gave me a packet of Oral-B Superfloss. Let me tell you, Superfloss sucks. It made every flossing session a torture as I struggled to untangle the lint from my braces. After 2 or 3 repetitions of this experience I gave up and started using these green plastic floss heads. This needle threader is the best thread for those with permanent braces. Each filament is individually wrapped, which is a plus and minus for this filament (more on that later). The reason I love this thread so much is that it is a needle threader and thread in one and the thread itself is very soft. Since I have sensitive gums, they help me a lot. The needle threader portion is slightly thicker, making it stiffer, but retains a soft outer surface, making threading easier. Once I'm done carving
