The end of the suture/leader was crimped during packaging. Every leader has a crimp/bend that essentially renders it useless. Think of a needle and thread with a hinge at the pointy end of the needle. Slitting the front 1/8th of the needle threader with a razor blade saves thread, but I have to do this on every pack. Also, the floss loosens a bit, leaving strands that I have to pull out of the toothpaste. Not what I expected for the price. Also, it's a very good idea and would be very handy. I prefer this idea to using a separate needle threader like the EEZ-THRU. I may try again, I hope I just have a bad batch. Finally, I had no trouble tying knots like the others. I open the individual wrapper where it says on the page and shake it from the "Leader" side and it unraveles cleanly for me.
