quality control ? for dental floss

I have bought this "set of 3" several times and was disappointed with the quality of about half of the dental floss. I'm wondering if the company puts lower quality yarn in the packages not for individual resale? Some dental floss are pretty good. But part of it is too curved to be bridged. Disappointing.

Pros
  • Always liked
Cons
  • Only available in white

The packaging had a strong perfume smell

When the floss boxes arrived they were wrapped in plastic which had a strong perfume smell like someone had dropped a perfume bottle on the product. I let it sit for a week, unpacked it and every single box smelled of perfume. It didn't smell like mint. I've bought two packs before and haven't had the same problem. When I opened the box of these three packs, each thread smelled of strong perfume. I had to throw everyone out. It was a totally unsatisfying experience.

Pros
  • This is amazing
Cons
  • unreliable

Ideal for braces: Dental floss

I use it to clean braces. I found them to be too long for me so I cut off the portion I didn't need and used the rest. They're great for loosening food particles stuck in molars in particular. They removed food that I couldn't feel with my teeth and my toothpicks didn't come out on their own. My teeth wear them down, but that's more of a personal issue (I have a couple of fillings that weren't done right and have jagged edges *eyes rolling*). Overall I am very satisfied and will buy them again.

Pros
  • Sponge floss for cleaning around equipment and in large rooms
Cons
  • Out of fashion

Mandatory for permanent arches and bridges in the mouth

You might like this stuff as much as I do. The space between my teeth is tight so I have to use this floss carefully. It drove my husband crazy because it broke while using it. I don't have much of a problem with it and the benefits outweigh the problems. Benefits include compliments from my dental hygienist on how clean I keep my teeth around the permanent arch. Additionally, the needle threader allows for faster penetration under my bridge and around my permanent arc. There is a kind of puff…

Pros
  • Oral B Superfloss - Pack of 3 (each pack contains 50 strands)
Cons
  • New competitors are here
