Yes, it might have been faster with a large $2000+ machine, but it did a very good job of removing varnish and leaving a clean, smooth finish for multiple bedrooms. Photo after 4 coats of Varathane. Definitely removes all polishing marks (note for new wipers).

We actually sanded our deck with this pad, first stuck sandpaper to the base and finished with just sandpaper. Also used to clean the large terrace from dirt and mold and woke up really well. I love this Oreck Orbiter ground machine and all the accessories I have used.

Absolutely not worth buying. I bought one of these and used it to clean my tiled floor. It left black crumbs of the material it was made of. all over the floor in tons. This is in addition to the fact that I used a soft microfiber cloth (attached to the pad) to wipe the floors rather than the black pad touching the floor directly. I got another half hour with it spent vacuuming the floor. Bad product quality Had to throw it away!

I refinish floors - tight carpets and clean concrete to acid soil floors. When I first tried to use them, they didn't work at all. Big learning curve. After reading that the floor must be wet, these stripper pads worked like magic. I got rid of pain from my old concrete from scratch for 50 years. I only finished the entrance but it looks great.
