Oreck ProShield Plus Air Purifier: Superior Indoor Air Quality Solution Review

When we first got it it made a clicking noise so we turned it off when we left the house as a precaution. It's either stopped or we're used to it, so idk. Improving air quality: a must! Especially with the odor removal option, our dog's poop doesn't get stuck, so hooray!

Was unhappy that just a few days after receiving my oreck, a month after the truman cell cleaning, the red light came on. It's only been five days since I cleaned it. This is my second Oreck air filter, the first I have used in over five years and it still works great. So disappointing that only the Truman cell cannot be replaced.

This cleaner works very well. We have several of these around the house and they last longer than any other cleaner we've tried over the years and we've tried many. They're a bit more expensive, but the fact that you can clean the filters and not have to pay to have them replaced in a timely manner really helps keep costs down. Happy with the purchase.

I liked the filter that I could clean and I was amazed at the fine dirt that separated. there was no smell of ozone. However, the power just wouldn't turn on after 2 years. I tried the reset built into the cable, it didn't help. A few years later I tried to buy it again and kept the old filter so I could change it. Then about 2 years later the same thing. turned on, but there is no power, checks the reset, the door to the filter is closed. John Sullivan

This air purifier has been amazing for a week. I wonder if they were old air purifiers because both had a dead remote battery. Replaced and everything worked. However, in one part of the cleaner, even after cleaning, there was a continuous arc. Loved units but couldn't handle sparks. The commissioner said that they are known for it. Windows not open, hot water/radiant heat so I don't know what the problem is. I regret sending them back.

I like this product. Very quiet. Clean air for good sleep (no more stuffy nose). Get rid of the smell. My old one doesn't work after ten years of work, try to test many days in the last two months, still doesn't work. So I order this new one. My first filter made sparks/crackles. Usually only occurs when larger particles enter the filter. It was difficult to clean even with the expensive Oreck cleaner. My mom smokes indoors and I wanted something strong to purify the air. I have an older Oreck (6 years old or so) that still works and does a good job. However, this new version, even though I received a replacement for this order…. It died and does not turn on after 8 months. Can't tell if I bought an insurance/protection plan so now…

I had this product for 34 days when it started flashing. I contacted these people immediately and then waited nine days for a response. In the end, through Revane's assistant, I gave them a star; They contacted me immediately and informed me that over 30 days later they considered it a warranty case and told us to contact Oreck for warranty assistance. Just so you know you are buying this device from a third party who will wash their hands if the product has an issue. I wish Revain wouldn't let

As other reviews have said, this is a serious filter. It moves a lot of air and catches very small particles. If you run it, you won't see much dust hanging in the sun in your house. I didn't encounter any of the previously listed problems, except for one that I think is quite significant: This simple and uncomplicated thing produces a lot of ozone (that "plastic" smell that other reviews complain about).
