Saved me from buying a new home theater receiver

I lost the small manual that came with this receiver. It's a big deal, but a mistake on my part. I used this to split the audio and video from my Xbox 1 S to a 4k Samsung and the audio to my Denon. The Denon isn't HDCP2.2 compatible, but I didn't want to spend another $800 on a receiver when mine broke. I screwed up with the switches (3 up, 1 down) and there's audio in 7.1 and video in 4k. I noticed very little degradation in video quality, but I'm much happier that my surround sound is back.

The seller took care of the problems

Doesn't work in HDR! It says it works for HDR but it keeps crashing from HDR to this one. Garbage! I keep getting that, total crap, both HDR 4k TVs! On 2/19/21 the seller got back to me and sent me a new one before amazon.com could even process a refund! I hope this one continues to work as I am canceling my return but I will not be able to return a new one or get a refund except from the seller and I am sure the seller came and delivered, thanks for that . If it doesn't work like the first one

  • Satisfied so far

Works with Ultra Wide Monitors when using the NVIDIA Control Panel

To work with ultra wide monitors, you must create your own display resolution profile in the NVIDIA Control Panel. When you have created and tested the profile, quickly switch the splitter to TV mode to successfully complete the test. And all. I use mine to connect the output of an HDMI switch to the input of my ultrawide monitor and audio receiver. Works great so far and much better than video playback from 2 computers but audio from 2nd HDMI cable only on one of the computers. Also, boot…

It really works, but sometimes it crashes.

I am sharing the DirecTv C61K 4K STB output using 4K@60 with Dolby Digital Plus and HLG HDR on a TCL Series 8 4K TV and a Vizio 4k Oled. I am using a high speed (3ft) cable from STB to this unit and a 3ft high speed cable to TCL. For the Vizio, I use a 50 foot optical HDMI cable through the attic. Both sets work fine at 1080p with this switch in the normal position. However, when switching to a 4K channel, both TVs will receive a 4K HDR signal and everything works fine, except about once or…

I'm using a pair of these to convert the outputs of two camcorders (AG-CX350, XH-A1 via component-to-HDMI converter) to control inputs simultaneously VCR (Atomos Ninja V) and HDMI to NDI encoder (TBS2605) due to a bug in these devices that prevents the Ninja output from being properly captured by the encoder (not sure why) . It does the job. The only thing I don't like about them is that if you can't bypass the hard-coded EDID mode (which emulates a 4K TV) it won't provide any output on output…

4K @ 60fps HDR Pass-Thru supported as 1000 in EDID!

I've been looking for a splitter/matrix/switcher with built in EDID AND support for 4K at 60 fps for months. Many don't have EDID and those that don't support 4K at 60 fps. I stumbled across Orei HDMI 2.0 but couldn't find Orei's EDID settings online so I ended up buying the device. To my surprise, it actually supported 4K at 60 fps (EDID: 1000) AND HDR transmission TOO! I used the new HDR-enhanced TiVo Edge DVR to test the Orei. Since there were EDID settings in the user manual and I couldn't…

Pros
  • Audio and video accessories
Cons
  • There are more interesting options.

Use a few this for separating the outputs of two video cameras (AG-CX350, XH-A1 via component to HDMI converters) in order to simultaneously use the inputs of the DVR (Atomos Ninja V) and the HDMI NDI encoder ( TBS2605) to control devices that prevent the encoder from correctly capturing the Ninja output (don't know why). It does the job. The only thing I don't like about them is that if you can't bypass the hard-coded EDID mode (which emulates a 4K TV) it won't provide any output on output 2…

It works out. how. to AV accessories

I bought this splitter to pass my HDMI signal to my TV and receiver (audio only). I connected the output of a 5 port HDMI switch to the input port of this splitter. I connected output port #1 to the TV and port #2 to different HDMI inputs on the Denon receiver. Although the picture on the TV is excellent, I get no signal on the receiver. As I said, I've used several different inputs on the receiver, but it doesn't seem to matter, there's no sound. Some additional background information: This…

Pros
  • Up to 4K x 2K resolution at 60 Hz. Both TVs display the same supported resolution. The UHD-102 also supports HDMI 1.4, 1.3, 1.2.

Fail Twice!: Satellite TV Gear

Upgraded from 3 stars to 1 star. I ended up switching my main device from TV Fire Cube to Xbox One S. It worked less than 1/4 of the time. The sound is gone. Then the video signal does not work. And sometimes none of the signals worked. I made sure the HDMI cable was working by connecting the XBOX directly to both Samsung 4K TVs and everything worked as it should, sound and video, with NO ANY issues. So, cable, 2 TVs and XBOX - all fine. Then we return to the splitter and it cannot split the…
