Poor quality household goods

Poor, poor quality. Very dissatisfied. This should never have gone through QC. So many gaps, as well as sagging in the middle.

Pros
  • Special offer
Cons
  • Questionable purchase for the elderly

The quality of the tatami is not very good.

Tatami is not well made. The edge is uneven and poorly sewn. The content is too soft to carry a heavy person. I am not returning this item as shipping costs will be charged but I was disappointed with the quality. The size is right and it looks good.

Pros
  • Doping 🔥 I'll write

Tatami Mat: Rugs, Pillows & Protectors

This is my third tatami purchase. This time I bought two of them so that when I go somewhere they can easily fit in the back seat and be easily carried. They are high quality and very durable. Because of the scent they give off, it is very pleasant to lie down. They always arrive earlier than planned.

Pros
  • Holding My Fists
Cons
  • Sad Gear

Absolutely great item - (not recommended for dog/cat owners)

Beautiful and good quality. When it first emerged it had a fresh, grassy scent. It is a perfect setting for tea ceremony, yoga, meditation and summer sleep. (But I wouldn't recommend it to anyone with a cat or dog, my dog loves to scratch and dig the surface so any damage to the top layer is visible.) It's great for human use though.

Pros
  • Ideal for a small home
Cons
  • Negative gift

QC needs work - this should not have passed the test.

Design and style as described (wooden frame, blue back etc) but looks like the warehouse crew played football on it before it was boxed. The outer packaging was ok, but the mat itself had a few tears and torn threads. I think I'll put some clear nail polish on the broken areas and hope they don't get any worse. Trying to coordinate the return of a massive, unwieldy item is more of a headache than it's worth.

  • Satisfied
Cons
  • Piggy bank Price

Sturdy, well made and comfortable

I am very satisfied with this product. It is well made and very durable. I use my meditation mat and upon initial inspection, the mat "felt" as hard as my hardwood floors. Although the mat is very durable, it gives just enough not to cause discomfort. I find some people add a pillow when sitting on the mat, but for me my lower back needs some solid support. The packaging was exceptional, a double box that protects the mat very well. I am very happy with this rug.

Pros
  • Very good value for money
Cons
  • Appearance

I love the smell of fresh tatami in the morning

I think I'm one of the few people who like the smell of fresh grass. This mat is perfect for what I need. I needed something to soften the wooden floor for yoga and meditation. I've always found tatami mats to be soft and springy. It's not like this. They're more durable than the rug you use in a martial arts dojo, so it's more durable than a rug. However, they give just enough that when my knees are on them I don't feel like the floor is wearing down my kneecaps. I didn't know it would be like

  • I have no dislike, everything is fine

Not real tatami - "veneer " tatami

I have other tatami mats and wasn't immediately impressed when they arrived. There are two types of tatamines which are made from whole plaited straw and others which are made from fiberboard covered with plaited straw. There are two ways to tell the difference without cutting it. First, weight. A real 36" x 36" tatami weighs about 34 pounds. Fiberboard models weigh about 20 pounds. These weigh 20 pounds. Second, the top layer will not slip off the core when walking on a real tatami. It feels…

Pros
  • Elegant design
Cons
  • Long delivery time

The seller only has a 14-day right of return

This tatami corresponds to the description. It's only a 3ft mat and the quality seems ok. Unfortunately, the sizing turned out to be a little different from what we had imagined and we found out too late that the seller has a 14 day return policy and not a 30 day return policy like Revain. Upon hearing this we asked Oriental Furniture if we could return the store credit in lieu of a refund. They said no. Just be careful when purchasing from vendors that are not directly owned by Revain. Other…
