Good sound, looks nice.

It has a nice clear ringtone that lasts for many seconds. I would give it 5 stars except that it sounds too good (nowhere near the usual cheap bike ping). Ching) so people don't immediately identify the noise as coming from a bike. I suggest you call at least twice to help people determine the direction of the noise and understand that this is an intentional warning and not someone with a key dropping a metal pipe on the floor. It's easy to hear from a distance (assuming you mount it bell-head…

Pros

Cons
  • Doubtful purchase for the elderly.

Also works loud. The noise is uncomfortable.

Installation was easy but requires a screwdriver so no adjustments along the way (unless you have a screwdriver with you of course). yes it is quite noisy slightly less noisy, no ringing at all as the spring is quite stiff. So either very loud or nothing. Another thing is that the sound is really gloomy. I was immediately struck by how abandoned it sounded. then someone else said the same thing to me when they heard it. It might seem like a small thing, but it's just not a pleasant sound, it's…

Damn nice bell

I searched for a black call Suzu Crane (which it doesn't) and found this. I can't say it's as loud as the much-vaunted Suzu Crane, but if it isn't, it's certainly close. I've tried it against the Mirrcycle Duet Incredibell and while this reputation is also very good, this one is louder - and for me that's what I want. I would like a bell instead of a horn because I think the horn would be too annoying for pedestrians and I often ride on pedestrianized beach bike paths. At the same time, I want…

Nice, loud, resonant sound.

So far I've bought 3 of these Origin-8 Black Brass Bells for 3 different bikes. I also accidentally ordered the "Lite" version, which is an aluminum version with an almost identical design. Of course, the heavier brass dome delivers a louder, longer-resonant sound than the aluminum "Lite" variant. I love the minimalist bell design because I find a certain beauty in simplicity. The first one I bought I installed on my new Electra Cruiser 1 hanger in 2012 and it still works great despite the…

Beautiful, classic, loud.

I bought an Origin8 Time Bell to mount a 1969 project bike for repairs and commuting. First, a note on bells: Too often I hear bells flop and "ring". When you speak them, they aren't loud or clear enough to make your head turn. However, this bell rings loud and clear and makes a really beautiful and crystal clear sound. I've bought a few Origin8 products, but this was my first "classic" bike part. Some of the other products I bought (rods, sticks) were much more "modern" in design, with big…
