Don't Waste Your Money on This Sensor

As my tests showed, this automotive sensor is a complete waste of money. Despite following all the installation instructions, the sensor failed to deliver accurate readings and ended up causing more harm than good in my vehicle .The only pro I can think of is that the packaging was nice. The cons, however, far outweigh any potential benefits – the sensor is unreliable, ineffective, and quite frankly, not worth the investment. Save yourself the hassle and look for a better option..

Pros
  • Accurate and reliable sensor measurements
Cons
  • Potential for compatibility issues with certain vehicle models or systems

Bought for Grand Prix SE '96 4.1l.

Bought for 1996 Grand Prix SE 4.1L actually it wasn't the part I wanted to replace but CAM angle sensor (eg http://www.amazon.com/OEM-96077 -Cam-Position- sensor /dp/B000CSQB6C/). This will be one of two crankshaft position sensors (I keep it handy if it fails). I think I'll mention it if you're in the same situation. Most online descriptions don't make it clear if it's a different crank or a camshaft sensor.

Pros
  • Spares
