Excellent Performance & Highly Scalable

OrigoDB is a fast and highly scalable NoSQL database.The performance is excellent.The architecture of OrigoDB is based on an architecture inspired from MongoDB.It is the best NoSQL database out there.It is easy to set up and you do not have to have a lot of knowledge to use it.It is fully open-source.It is a bit complex and the architecture is not easy to understand.It is a bit expensive.If you're looking for a NoSQL database, I highly recommend it. Pros
  • Very simple
  • Fast at querying data.
  • Support lots Of Databases (I am yet unable determine this) through Odbc Connections
Cons
  • Complex in structure.
  • Not much options available while creating new tables

A great tool for data modelling & version control

The ease in which we can create our own data models for use within applications is very useful as it allows us more flexibility than being tied down by an existing database system's structure or schema design rules (which are often not flexible enough). This also makes adding new features easier because there isn't much code that needs rewriting when changing from one model type/schema version /data source implementation into another - just change out what kind file format they're using! There

Pros
  • Easy to develop your OWN customised schemas
  • Great documentation, with plenty examples.
  • Very good support response times via their online chat facility
  • Lots o tools available like query checkers , ORM implementations.
  • Good performance even over moderate traffic loads compared wit hRails DB migrations
Cons
  • No native SQL editor tool yet although you do need something similar once its developed
