Description of Patent-Pending Osaka French Press Coffee and Tea Maker - Vacuum Insulated Stainless Steel Mesh Filter, Prevents Over-Extraction & Thermal Shock - Large 8 Cup (1 Liter, 34oz) - Silver

DO YOU HATE BITTER COFFEE? – So do we! That’s exactly why we designed the Osaka French Press. We designed a patent-pending new filter with a vacuum seal that seamlessly separates the grinds from the coffee, giving you the power to stop the brewing process exactly to your liking. When the filter isn’t being pushed down, it will fully lock to prevent over-extraction. You can create a light, medium, or dark brew to your exact taste, without any fear of over-extraction. No more bitter coffee!. BYE BYE COFFEE GRINDS – Not only does our BPA-free, vacuum-sealed, durable stainless-steel (that’s a mouthful) filter prevent bitter coffee, but it also keeps the coffee grinds out too! It just keeps getting better. No more mouthful of grounds at the bottom of your cup. Enjoy your coffee till the last drop, grind-free. BEST QUALITY – Made with handblown borosilicate glass, a non-slip silicone base, and a durable stainless-steel mesh filter. All of our materials are food-safe and BPA free while also repelling chemicals and odors. We want a spot in your kitchen, and made sure to use materials that deserve to be there. BORED OF COFFEE? – I know, you can never be bored of coffee, but hear us out. You can use our French press to brew custom tea, make your own almond, soy or cashew milk, infuse oils with herbs, and flavor liquor with fruit. The possibilities are endless (and so much fun)!. PERSONALIZE YOUR BREW – Do you like colors? Cause we like colors. And we made sure to design three beautiful finishes to go perfectly with your kitchen. Choose from sleek silver, rustic rose gold, or a bold black finish.

Almost a great product and it has the potential to be great but...

Almost a great product and could be great but glass has 2 flaws! Both are on the handle. One at the top and one at the bottom right. The glass is pulled out of the mold at the junction of the handles and transfers the cut to the clean side. Because you press and it shrinks, after you crack the lid, the bottom fills the lid and you have unfiltered coffee! Fix it and you'll get awesome abs!

Pros
  • Great price
Cons
  • Speed

Well-made Attractive French Press at Half the Price!

The Osaka French Press worked exactly as described, although I was a bit skeptical at first. This is a well-made and attractive coffee maker. I liked that there were suggestions on how to make the best drink and the packaging was better than expected. Looks better live than online. The video wasn't very helpful as it showed coffee drinkers and not the press itself. It was meant to show how the bottom mechanism works to keep the soil from getting inside. All in all a great purchase. I'll update…

Pros
  • Good workmanship
Cons
  • Hard to say

Slight design flaw Best in coffee, tea and espresso

I also have a Bodum Bistro coffee maker and I have tested coffee from both after steeping for 10 minutes (I drank the first half , then the lower half sitting for a while). Osaka is definitely more consistent top-down. BUT. see attached picture of a fairly significant design/manufacturing flaw that needs to be fixed: there is a fairly large concave part within the class where the handle attaches. This allows you to cycle through multiple bases. This is not a serious issue, but for a product…

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • too dull

Spilled a lot of coffee grounds 😭

Okay, here's the thing. This is great press and if it really worked; For me that would be the best Christmas present. :) Used once (with distilled water just in case!) and now I don't feel that you are quite honest about the main benefit of this product. Why not just build a cylinder and then add a handle? Why does he have to let the coffee grounds through where the handle connects from the OUTSIDE? We've probably all seen blown glass and it seems like there are ways to make it look different…

Pros
  • Holds my fists
Cons
  • Packaging is ugly

So good I bought a second one

I love this French Press so much I bought a second one just in case. The coffee I drink is only from a French press. You can keep all the fancy espresso machines and other gadgets that turn ordinary people into coffee snobs. The Osaka Coffee and Tea Maker took my usual French Press coffee experience to a whole new level. It made what I believe to be the best French Press coffee I've ever made. I would compare this French Press to an Aeropress, which brews more than one cup without filtering out

Pros
  • Best
Cons
  • Infinitely Sluggish
