Toyota pickup 22re 4vd 1993

Toyota pickup 22re 4vd 1993. Installed too high, the hood could not close. Now I have to drill new holes to install it. What a waste of time. Plastic top and bottom caps. I thought it was an all metal radiator. Very disappointed with this product.

Pros
  • handy thing
Cons
  • piggy bank price

Works super cool. for engine cooling and air conditioning

Put this in a Toyota 22re engine and drive uphill in 95 degree heat with the air conditioning on, the temperature was so low the thermostat didn't even open. Great radiator but the hood may not close if you don't make modifications. I cut out some metal at the bottom of the hood so the hood wouldn't bang. It runs cooler than the champion aluminum radiator it replaced and costs half as much, and the champions (2 of them) are licking. I like it!

Pros
  • Very good price
Cons
  • spare change

1994 Toyota pickup 22re rear, automatic transmission.

This radiator does not fit in my car without modification, the hood hits the radiator cap. Mounting holes must be drilled elsewhere. Also, the fan shroud screws will need to be replaced with longer screws to allow them to reach the threaded portion of the mounting clips. The transmission cooler fittings are too large in diameter to use the truck supplied hoses, so you will need a slightly larger ID hose. Aside from a few mods, it works great and is better than the standard dual-core heatsink.

Pros
  • Price
Cons
  • Reliability
